Additional information:
- If the application contains formal deficiencies, the recognizing university will set a deadline — not shorter than 14 days — for the applicant to complete it, under the penalty of leaving the application unprocessed.
- Following formal review, the university may request a standard Polish translation of the documents.
- In particularly justified cases, the university may require a certified translation into Polish by a sworn translator, or a translation made by a foreign translator and certified by the appropriate Consul of the Republic of Poland.
- If differences are identified in the curriculum, learning outcomes, or duration of studies, the university may require the applicant (as defined in §2 sec. 1) to pass specific exams or complete professional internships.
Recognition fee:
- For conducting the recognition procedure, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn charges a fee amounting to 50% of the minimum monthly basic salary of a professor at a public university.
- No fee is charged if the university determines it does not have jurisdiction to conduct the procedure.
- In justified cases — particularly due to financial or life circumstances — the applicant may apply for a full or partial fee waiver or for the possibility to pay in installments. Relevant documents proving the circumstances must be attached to such an application.
- The application for a fee waiver or installment plan, along with justification, should be submitted to the Rector either at the same time as the recognition application or no later than 7 days from the date the payment notice is delivered.
- Submitting a fee waiver or installment request temporarily suspends the obligation to pay the recognition fee.
