Data Analysis and Engineering
The postgraduate programme Data Analysis and Engineering, offered by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at UWM, is designed for graduates who want to develop practical and analytical competencies in one of the fastest-growing areas of the modern economy.
The programme covers key areas including data acquisition and processing, statistical methods, machine learning, Python programming, data visualisation and database management. Graduates will be equipped with skills enabling them to analyse datasets from different sources and use appropriate programming and IT tools to process and interpret data.

Who can apply?
The programme is open to holders of a Polish or foreign higher education diploma in any field of study, provided that the diploma entitles the holder to continue higher education or apply for a doctoral degree in the country where it was issued.
This makes the programme particularly suitable for international graduates and professionals who wish to acquire specialised data-related skills while studying remotely.
What will you learn?
Graduates of the programme will develop competencies in:
  • using IT tools for data acquisition, processing and analysis;
  • programming in Python;
  • statistical methods and machine learning;
  • analysing datasets from different sources;
  • data visualisation;
  • designing, creating, modifying and managing databases;
  • selecting appropriate programming environments and tools for data-related tasks.
How are the studies organised?
The programme is delivered remotely in real time, allowing participants to attend classes from anywhere in the world. Classes are organised during two Saturday–Sunday sessions per month. Recordings are also made available to participants.
